When to book your maternity session:
The ideal time for a maternity photoshoot is around 7-8 months, when your bump is beautifully rounded but you're still comfortable enough to enjoy the session. My maternity sessions are designed to be relaxed and enjoyable, allowing you to feel at ease.
What to bring to your session:
You can choose from a selection of elegant gowns available in the studio, or if you prefer, wear your own clothing. I’m happy to guide you on what outfits will work best to make your session perfect.

Celebrate the beauty of your pregnancy with a timeless maternity photo shoot. This is a unique moment in your journey to motherhood, and together we'll create elegant portraits that capture your growing bump and become cherished keepsakes for years to come.
Booking your maternity session is simple. To reserve your appointment, a £50 booking fee is required. This secures your session in my diary and guarantees your chosen date.
What to Expect
Duration: Maternity shoots typically last 1 hour and up to 3 outfit changes. Maternity sessions take place in my photography studio located in Carryduff, Belfast.
Guidance: The photographer will guide you on poses that flatter your bump and body. Common poses include holding your belly, gazing down, or interacting with a partner or siblings.
The Photographer's Role

Lighting and Angles: The photographer will handle lighting and angles to capture your best features.

Encouragement: They’ll help you feel relaxed and confident, ensuring natural expressions.
Partner and Children: Many maternity shoots include family members for more dynamic and emotional shots.
Props: Items like baby clothes, sonograms, or themed props can add personality to the session.
After the Shoot

Editing: The photographer may retouch photos for lighting, skin tone, and other enhancements.

You will be invited back to the studio approximately 1-2 weeks after the shoot to view your gallery, select package and order products etc.

Your maternity session is just the beginning of one of life's most incredible adventures. Many parents choose to reserve both their maternity and newborn sessions at the same time, ensuring every precious stage of their journey is beautifully documented.
By booking your newborn session alongside your maternity session, you'll have one less thing to think about once your baby arrives. As I only accept a limited number of newborn bookings each month, reserving your due date in advance guarantees your place in my diary.
Your due date is simply used as a guide. Once your little one has arrived, we'll arrange the exact date for your newborn session, ideally within the first 5–14 days when babies are at their sleepiest and most settled.
Together, your maternity and newborn photographs tell the complete story—from the excitement of waiting to the joy of finally holding your baby in your arms. These timeless images become treasured keepsakes, allowing you to look back on this remarkable chapter for years to come.
